Lumora

Privacy Policy

Effective: 21 October 2026 · Last updated: 21 October 2026

“Lumora” (“Lumora” or “the app”) is developed and provided by Chongqing Keyuan Jisuan Information Technology Co., Ltd. (“we”). We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information Lumora accesses, how it is used, and your rights.

In short: your photos and videos are processed only on your iPhone. We do not collect, upload or sell any personal data.

1. Information we access and why

Permission / informationPurposeLeaves the device?
Photo library (read and write) Browse and play photos and videos; favourite, categorise (synced as system albums), hide, and move to Recently Deleted; scan for duplicates, similar photos and large files on device. No
Face ID / passcode Verify your identity for App Lock or Private Space. Verification is done by iOS; Lumora never gets your face data or passcode, only a pass / fail result. No
App settings Preferences such as the default favourites album, hidden categories, mute, shuffle and last viewed position are stored in the app's local storage. No

Duplicate and similar-photo detection uses Apple's Vision framework on device. No images are uploaded.

2. iCloud Photos

If you use iCloud Photos and an original is stored only in iCloud, Lumora asks Apple's system frameworks to download it for display or playback. Apple handles this download directly under the Apple Privacy Policy; we never see the transferred content.

2.1 Photo comments (iCloud sync)

Comments you write on photos are saved on your device and synced to your own private iCloud database (Apple CloudKit) across your devices. Comment text, author name and photo identifiers are stored in encrypted fields that we cannot access. Others can see these comments only if you start “Shared comments” in Settings and they accept your invitation; you can stop sharing at any time.

2.2 Diagnostics

Lumora uses Apple's MetricKit to record crash locations and device model on your device. This contains no photos, videos or personal information, stays on your device, and is sent only if you tap Send in Settings › Diagnostics, via the system share sheet.

3. Sharing

Only when you tap Share / Export does Lumora export the selected photos or videos to temporary files and hand them to the iOS share sheet. Where they go is up to you, and the recipient's handling is governed by their own privacy policy.

4. What we don't do

5. Data storage and deletion

Lumora only stores a few settings on your device, which the system removes when you delete the app. Categories you create are albums in the Photos app and remain there after you delete Lumora, where you can manage them at any time.

6. Your rights

You can change or revoke Lumora's photo access at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Photos, or allow access to selected photos only. After revoking access, Lumora can no longer read your library.

7. Children

Lumora is not designed specifically for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect anyone's personal information.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date at the top. Significant changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
